Year of the Dragon
We celebrated Chinese New Year today, it is the Year of the Dragon. We LOVED listening to Mrs. Tudor read, we also got to make lanterns and red envelopes. Mrs. Yue gave us $100 to put in our red envelopes!! We were very excited about the money!!! We ate dumplings and we all wore red to symbolize good luck in the new year!

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
Today we discussed who Dr. King was and what he wanted for our country. We all agreed that is does not matter what color your skin is, it matters how you treat people. We promised to treat every one fairly. Layden and Khaki said they are friends and they don't look alike. That is exactyly what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. wanted!
Queen of the Week
Khaki is the Queen of the Week. Her birthday was also this week, on the 12th. Happy Birthday Queen Khaki!!

Hibernation Day
On Monday we put our bears in the cave to hibernate until Spring. We sang them a lullabye, kissed them goodnight, and put them in the cave. We will see them again in March.
